The City of Willow Springs is subject to Missouri Statutes relating to public records, specifically known as the Sunshine Law in Chapter 610 RSMo. Emails sent or received by city employees are subject to these laws. Unless otherwise exempted from the Sunshine Law, senders and receivers of city email should presume that the email is subject to release upon request, and to state record retention requirements.

Any comments or private messages would be subject to Missouri Statutes relating to public records, specifically known as the Sunshine Law in Chapter 610 RSMo. Commenting on social media posts will be restricted and private messaging will not be acceptable forms of communication.
