The Animal Control / Code Enforcement Officer works under the general supervision of the Police Chief and City Administrator to perform routine and complex public safety work in the enforcement of animal control and general ordinances.
Dog Pound, Fees, and Adoption
Owners with dogs that have been impounded will be charged a fee of $15.00 for the first day plus $5.00 for each additional day that the dog is held at the City Pound. If the owner has not been located or refuses to claim the dog within one (1) week of impoundment. the dog will be eligible for adoption.
